Why I’m running this competition?

As a child, people around me have always thought I’ll make it as a star/artiste someday as I possessed an exotic look and frame which fitted into the requirements of being one. (By the way, I’m pure Chinese. I've no mixed parentage in the family line.) I've been encouraged to join several beauty pageants, star search, so on and so forth. It just never struck my mind that I’m now running in #U's you’re the One contest, after so much procrastinations!

Before getting into the Top 8 female finalists, I always thought this is a one off program (I’m not usually a blur person, lah!). I’m not a couch potato, so even if I’m stuck at the black box, I’m likely to be catching documentations or probably some form of serial drama that my family members are watching at that point of time. I didn’t know about this contest till someone invited me to try for it. As a result, I’m here. Ha-ha!

For the last decade, my only contact with the media is through modelling, which I’m juggling and having lots fun besides schooling. Despite having experiences standing in front of the camera and speaking up in the public, I’m still pretty much a shy and quiet person by nature. In order to boost my self confidence and gained more exposure, I decided to give it a shot in this competition.

To be honest, win or lose, it doesn't really matters to me. At the end of day, all I cared for is the process of learning new things and portraying my best in whichever I do and making fullest of the chances that are thrown to me.
