Mingling with other contestants

My brief experience with the contestants...
My 1st exposure with all the female finalists was sometime back during end Jan. We were asked to turn up at Mediacorp for fittings before our final audition at Orchard Cinneleisure on the 1st of Feb. When I walk into the room, the girls were busy talking and getting to know each other. Before I could sit down, I’ve been bombarded with tones of questions, which I thought was hilarious. Should I give it to them cos’ they are all teenagers, with overpowering energy and they are just typical girls who just can’t stop talking? They are just so cute. Having a laid back personality, I asked them to speak one by one, so I could listen and answer.

On the day of final audition, there was a strong indescribable tension in the air when I walked into the makeup unit in the afternoon. Both the male and female contestants were busy rehearsing talents they are going to perform. Some looked so confident and ready to win, and some were so nervous they forgot to smile. It wasn’t that difficult to spot and make a guess a list of people who will smoothly move on to the next round. I was really astounded that I made it to Top 8 while I was expecting 2 other contestants to enter instead.

Our 1st photo shoot for promo was held at Ministry of Sound. The temperature was harsh! I can’t stop shivering and jumping around. It was so cold, especially when I’m ill. Nevertheless, I was excited to have Skye for that day. I think he makes a really great fashion photographer. He knows exactly what he wants and what the best are for each of us. Working with him is a breeze and I believe those shots will turned out amazing. (I just caught my own trailer on TV last night. It was tastefully done. I like it!) Though I was feeling really sick that day, the girls I was with were really nice to be with. I had Shi Ying and Mable with me in the morning before Qiu Ting and the rest of the guys (Jian Feng, Caleb, Clement and Jia Xi) join us later in the afternoon. Whilst waiting for our turns, I get to know a little more about their personalities. Some are nice to be friends with, while a few are not. Anyways, I shall keep comments to myself just yet till I know them better. =)
