Painting the town RED!

The hotel gave us access pass to take bus for free around Geneva.
Today's 1st thing 1st is to find out which bus/ direction goes to their "Orchard Road" & also the famous Old Town...
Buses do not need air conditioning at all..
whenever the doors open, I could feel a gush of cold winds!
Following DarDar is my favourite.
I hate maps. I have no sense of directions.

Our 1st stop!!!

Alighted at our destination by bus, the rest is pure walking...

Snap snap the surroundings, in case we (or just me) gets lost...

We tried to follow the map given to tourists but the information were just not detailed enough. We saw the French dessert store & bought a few macaroons. These are the best stuff I ever had. Trust me, you will be willing to run for 2 hours non stop just to burn the fats/ sugars in them. But, it's so definitely worth it. Can I have this brand of macaroons for next V-Day, B-Day, etc etc?

Lost & found!

Start the tour within Old Town...

Geneva is a beautiful city!

It's getting cold & we decided to stop somewhere for lunch.
I had huge breakfast at hotel as usual so I wasn't feeling hungry at all.
Plus, my gastric gave me problems since before we embarked on the vacation.
We had chosen another cafe actually, but 2 ladies were inside before us while we were busy taking photos & they took the last 2 seats. We had to relocate afterwhich...

We were checking out the cafe from outside & trying to read the menu when 2 diners walked out & strongly suggest us to lunch there. We don't have other places in mind.. So, why not? It turns out that the meals was great!

I told you Geneva is gorgeous, starting to believe now?

I sat at the benches & prayed to God that He will heal my tummy, so the pain will go away. I felt a wave of warm air surrounded me while I prayed. It was very similar to the same feeling I had when I accepted Christ. He came into my life after I experienced that He is real.
The moment I walk out for the church, I was healed. Amen!

There wasn't much cars on the roads as it was a weekday...

We ditched the map & started to go around aimlessly,
maybe we will discover interesting places and/or people...
Somehow or rather, we strolled back to the area we alighted at the start...

The most relaxing thing to do is to have high tea (and enjoy the heater inside the cafe)...
We saw a hotel lobby/ cafe filled with people.
It must be good. It had to be good. It was good.

B ensures we don't waste too much time doing nothing...
Back on our feets again...
Time to do alittle shopping?

Zara, Massimo Dutti, & some other high street labels can be found here...

There's only a half an hour in between the photos.
The skies turn dark real quick!

Trying to capture the X'mas lightings...

B had to mee customer for dinner & drinks so he accompanied me back to the hotel. I chose to grab Mac's for dinner... The living standard in Geneva is really high. A up sized meal + 2 packets of ketchup cost us almost 20bucks SGD! Why do they charge for sauces? I'm so gald I live in Singapore cos' everything I eat has to have additional sauces!!!
While B is out, I stayed in the room watching DVDs & drinking vodka.
It was good to have some "me" time...!
When B came back from his meetings, we ordered supper...
Both of us thought it's the worst steak we had. This ugly looking thing costs 49swiss franc. We called to ask for an exchange of food. The chef personally came to our room & asked why we think it's horrible. The beef is tough and very .... I can't describe.
Anyhow, he stormed out of our room & starting cursing & swearing outside. We can hear it from our room. It was kinda disturbing actually. I felt bad complaining about the food, but I really can't bear to swallow the yikey red meat. Then onwards, we decided not to order any room service. Just in case the chef spits on the food we eat.
