I Love You, Man

I got the invite to catch this film by Omy.
They gave out 25pairs of movie tickets for the movie preview.
Yes, I'm one of the lucky winner!

I invited Johnny to join me for the movie & he reaches the cinema just in time! I was so nervous cos' its's free seating & I absolutely don't want to be sitting on the 1st row! Thank Jesus, we are seated on the 3rd row. So, not too bad...
I've never written movie review before, so please pardon me if I'm not doing a great task alright? Just bear with me for a little while. I'm giving out my personal take (as I'm definitely not a critic), just like any of you!
This post is gonna be any other post I usually do. I don't want it too commercialised. I prefer honest & simple feedbacks. I'm sure you guys don't want to enter the cinema with all the super high expectations & get disappointed after the show right? I have experienced such feelings many times. I HATE it when some papers or magazines gave certain blockbuster 5/5 popcorns. Booooo...!!!

I went to pick up my tickets at the OMY booth & someone had my photo taken. It felt strange tho. Do they need a prove that I attended the event? Haha! I already had my email printed out! I was kidding.. I knew they wanted the photos for marketing. I hope I get to see my photo! Then again, I CAN promise it will look horrifying, I was super drained from day work already! So Do cut me some slack if I do look horrible. Heehee...

Prior to the show, I did a quick search on the movie on yahoo. I was praying that it won't turn out to be some silly lame show as Johnny would have murder me on the spot. As I look more into the movie, it turns out to have pretty good storyline.
The film is from co-writer/ directer by John Hamburg (if you remember "Along Came Polly") and co-writer of "Meet The Parents", "Meet The Fockers" and "Zoolanders".
Honestly, I HEART romance comedy. If it's gonna be a enjoyable witty show, why not???

Peter Klaven (Paul Rudd) is cute. He's such a "caveman"! Which guy on earth doesn't talk about S*X all the time? He won't even want to hear/see pornography at his colleague's computer monitor. Then again, to be fair, Tevin is such a a**hole.
Lucky Zooey (Rashida Jones) , he proposed & married you!
I've seen loners around my entire school life & social network. That's usually cos' this people are really strange or has some weird habits. Peter is so kind & down-to-earth. I don't understand why he doesn't have no male friend close enough to be his best friend?
Zooey, on the other side, has lotsa female friends. It was a difficult task to round up her girlfriends and decide on maid of honour for her wedding.
Clock is clicking, Peter needs to balance out his side of male friends for his wedding...

Peter was "match-make" with gays & got "hooked up" with the worse male friends I can ever imagine. One of the session almost looks like a date. Guy & guy date. GOSH! I almost fall off my chair when one of the date went up smooching Peter after their expensive candle-light dinner.
Come on, guy should be guys. All about beer, sports & dity talks about woman (maybe), blah. It's so awkward (not that it's not possible) to see 2 civilised man having romanic dinner.

Yet, it's also about number game. The more people you might, the chances of knowing a great friend goes up, too. I'm sure you've learn probability in schools.
Things are so much better after Peter met Sydney (Jason Segel). All the guy talks, silly (or manly) fights, sharing of perpectives, etc helped Peter to understand himself & his relationship with Zooey better.
The best part?
He found himself a fantastic buddy a.k.a bestman.
Going through the excruciating process of selecting male friends for his wedding ended him up with a hilarious yet interesting mix of people.

Finally the Prince marries the Princess.

Every relationship has its down side. Stress and pressure causes people to say or act the bad way. Zooey blamed Sydney for "snatching" away his finace. Peter blamed Sydney for causing the strained between Zooey and him.
I will not reveal what exactly happened in the end. I'm sure I have said quite alot about the show. I shall keep the details to you guys to watch it yourself.
STAY on to see the last bits of the show during the credits!

The super happy ending, made me smile.
I was jumpy & laughing so hard for 1hr 50min throughout.
That's the sole reason why it's important for me to catch a good comedy.
If it's bad, don't waste your time/money...

I give I LOVE YOU, MAN 4.5/5 popcorns.
