Dar made reservation at Xian De Lai, but they failed to provide them with tables when they reached on time. We are paying for food & services, why do we still need to wait?
Conclusion? They walked down the street and settled at the next makan option.
I wouln't reco. people to go to Tian Tian Huo Guo. It doesn't taste fantastic + the service is really really slow. Maybe we should have waited for our tables, after all?

I went to Peninsular S.C to get Dar's pressie & also some vintage dresses for myself.
Jackie came to Bugis to pick me up & we went to collect this 4kg cake at Takashimaya.
I'm thrilled to see what will their reaction be like, since it's the biggest cake I ever got for someone.

The huge cake was meant to be a surprise but neither of them seemed remotely excited about it. I was kinda upset about that. Yes I was late for an hr but I have good reasons for my absense! Saying thank you with and without real emotions isn't that difficult to sense.

Anyways, it's their birthday celebration & I really tried not to flare up or throw tanthrum when got ignored. I didn't had a good day at work to start with. I kept quiet most of the time. I just do what a gf is supposed to do. Be a nice host, serve cakes to everyone at the pub & have a few glasses of drinks to relax. When my "job" is done, everything else is secondary.

In between "fresh air" breaks. The guys started to play drinking game.

I don't really know how this is played. Someone will be arrow to drink when all the straw landed on the same cup?

Another game that involves everybody was quite funny. It's somekind of a reaction game. I'll try on another big group when I have the chance to teach.

Lincoln came to SG to attend B's birthday party & had to leave on Sat. That's e reason why the celebration was forward to Friday instead to Sat. I was told we will have least 30 pax for the party but only about 20 turned up. I packed about 1/4 of the cake home & we still have leftovers. Waste my money & effort when people don't appreciate my good intentions. Whatever lah...

I'm not blaming anyone that I didn't enjoy the party. I just felt very disappointed. There has been lotsa mixed feelings for the past few weeks. I kept reminding myself to try to be nice & accomodative. I didn't stayed throughout. I opted to go home to rest when they switched to a different pub. Sorry if I have been harsh or impolite to any of you for the last few weeks. I'm still struggling inside.
