Somewhat mine is very different ever since my grandparents passed away. All relatives used to gather at grandma's' house so we save the hassle of house-to-house visiting... All my cousins and distant relatives would sit in a big round circle on the floor to gamble while the aunties gathered around the tibits table to gossip and create a fish market. Can you imagine how "noisy" and fun my CNY were? When the paternal grandma passed away years ago, my family decided to go on a 1-2 weeks trip during CNY since we have nothing to do. By then, we already lost the CNY festive mood when all the relatives don't get-together...

My favourite maternal grandma left us last year, and a month from now, it will be her 1 year anniversary. CNY w/o grandma is so different! I miss her presence and cooking.. I would sit beside her & massage her legs *sigh* I got to stop thinking about the unhappy past and move on. It's time... I hope after this festive season I will have good things to look forward to! May God bless me/you with abundance of joy & happiness!
