I was casually chatting w my gf this morning & updating each other about our work then she commented on something which it's always there but not many sees it. When a couple have been together for an extended period of time and no one keep up with the romance & "fire", the relationship will become shaky. Why? Reason no. 1: there's always someone better out there. Reason no. 2: The longer a couple stays together long enough, there will bound to be conflicts. If things are left unsettled, the relationship will turn shaky. Reason 3: When a 3rd party does something extraordinary, one's heart gets easily moved. So, how? Any tips to share with us on how we can better improve relationships?

With regards to your reasons:
#1: because you are still looking. If you treat your other as the best, you'll stop looking. If you stop looking, there won't be someone better out there.
#2: Conflicts occur when people insist on having their way. Resolve conflicts by having pre-agreed ways.
#3: if relationship is founded on "feelings". If relationships are founded on the will to "give" instead of "receive", your focus will be on what you can give for your other and not on what you receive from him/her/3rd party.
