Shaw Cineplex- Lido
I was so excited and there was so much anticipation ever since I saw the trailer. I have to say so many thank-you to Omy for allowing me to catch the preview! I so appreciate the tickets!
1st ever dance film in 3D.
I wished they can seat Natalie (Sharni Vinson) or Luke (Rick Malambri) beside me instead!
OMG. I think I'm drooling while typing!!!

Shame on you!
Let me walk you through...
.
Step up (2007)

Step Up 2: The Streets (2008)
I went went at the opening (dancing inside the subway) of the show...
Salute the choreographer!
Step Up 3D Trailer (2010)
The whole show was breath-taking, I swear!
The battles went on & on and I was just trying to absorb every step they did! You have to really go catch the film yourself to understand my experience. Passion for dance is a bonus!
Rationale is simple...
Every time we watch a 3 minutes routine on stage or on screen, the dancers made every step so effortless. On the actual fact, lotsa training and perseverance are needed; both physically and mentally. (They have probably been rehearsing for months, 3-5 hrs/ session, serveral times a week + strict diet) Try running around at your own pace for 3 hours non-stop.
IT IS TIRING NO MATTER HOW!
If you have tried exercising for extended period of time, what keep you hanging there is your determination and needless to say; the love.
So, if you love dancing (irregardless whether you have 2 left foot or 2 right hands),
you will enjoy the movie. I will glady choose Step Up over Troy any day.
Obviously, the fantastic choreography, I love the plot. Some parts might be surreal/friction but it does really depicts the reality of struggling kids who will do anything to fulfil their dreams to a extend. Naturally the love for such a sport keep many adolescents of the streets, which in fact it is a great thing after all. I can't imgaine what will I be like if I didn't find my passion eons ago. All I wanted was to concentrate and focus on dancing and performing, I have no time to mix with the wrong crowd. I could do well at school and yet maintain a healthy lifystle. By God's grace I managed to balance well. I must thank my parents who believed in me too. Amen!
Enough of my life story which I can't help to share when doing this review.
Dance is my 1st love (or I should be honest & say it's God) and it will stay in my blood.
For rating wise...
I will be a bitbit bias tho.,
I shall just say 2 thumbs (STEP) UP!
Make sure you are seated not too near the screen & bring a cardigan! I was frozen at the end of the movie & kinda shivering while donig my interview. I hope it don't show on the clip. Alvin told me it will be up on Omy site by Thurs. I'll update and post the link again...
*Alvin, I want the Step Up tee for keep-sake!
(why I don't have?)
PLEASE GET IT FOR MEEEEEEE, can?
