Media Release omy.sg introduces iPhone applications and Social Media Sharing feature
Singapore, 16 December 2009 - omy.sg, Singapore’s leading bilingual-friendly news and entertainment web portal, has launched new features for its users.

Two Apple iPhone applications - omy and omy Showbiz, will provide iPhone users with up-to-date local and world news, including current affairs and lifestyle topics, as well as video content. The omy Showbiz application offers the latest entertainment news in the region, ranging from music, movies, TV to updates on celebrities. iPhone users can download both omy and omy Showbiz applications for free.
Apart from the iPhone applications, a new Social Media Sharing feature has also been added on omy.sg. The Social Media Sharing feature allows omy.sg readers to share their favourite news articles and content with friends on social networking media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.

These new features are in line with omy.sg's objective of catering news and entertainment content to bilingual Singaporeans by keeping them updated on the latest web trends and offering them the best user experience. For its strong cross-media and interactive efforts, omy.sg has garnered three awards at the WAN-IFRA 8th Asia Media Awards 2009, including two Golds and one Silver.
Lee Kuan Fung, Associate Editor of omy.sg, said:“Mobility and social networking are important developments in the new media landscape. By entering into these spaces, omy.sg is able to provide our readers with more avenues and flexibility in accessing and sharing our content, providing a better overall user experience."
omy.sg, which celebrated its second anniversary this year, enjoys an average of 10 million page impressions and 400,000 unique visitors monthly, strengthening its position as the top Chinese-focused website targeted at young bilingual Singaporeans aged between 18 and 35.
