Almaviva Master Class Wine Tasting

031209
Park Hotel Clarke Quay
---
Day
Media Luncheon

I had the opportunity to taste vintage 98, 99, 03 & 07 from Almaviva.

I'm the emcee for the event.
We couldn't start the tasting on time cause most of the invited guests were late!!!
Note: I really hate super late-comers.
We were like an hour behind time?
The only good news?
I get to enjoy yummylicious goodies provided by the hotel!

Since it's a small group in the day time, I decided to drop the mic. as it makes me quiver.

Posing & smiling while doing Q &A...

Setup for the event...

We had Mr. Diego Garay, commercial director flew in as guest speaker.
He's only 35 yrs old! Cute right?

Sharing his thoughts & same background as we do each vintage tasting together...

I'm so glad his English wasn't hard to comprehend...

I won't skip a chance to be photographed with special guest, as usual!

My CSW facilitator- Hwee Peng, Diego Garay & I.

Night

Guests are to register themselves before entering the hall.

A snapshot of the small group we are handling...

I emceed the night session as well,
this time round with a microphone just in case people can't hear me.
Though I have done public speaking countless times, trust me I still panic as I talk.
I can literally feel my blood gushing from my stomach to my brain!
I hope no one caught me showing how nervous I felt!

Everyone seemed to be having a great time.
By the way, personally I love vintages 1999 & 2003.
I think 1999 can be drunk from now till following 5years &
2003 to be kept aside for another 5 years before drinking.
Mr Garay loves 2007, I wonder why.

Towards the end of the session, Wendy assisted me to do the lucky draw.
3rd prize was a 8piece professional wine opener
2nd being a 750ML 07 Almaviva.

Mr. Bala won a magnum (1.5L) 1999 Almaviva which came in handy for his private party on Saturady.

By the end of the day, I was so tired.
I would like to adjourn to join my friends for some drinks at UE Square after the tasting
but I decided to give it a miss since I had to work per normal the next day.
I'm sure there will be more drinking sessions anyhow.
I'm looking forward for the next grand tasting event.
---
Hopefully I can attend it as a guest instead working as a emcee then!
The wonderful photos at tasting were taken by Seng Keat,
who also did the perfect shots during my birthdy earlier this year...
Did I mentioned he's also my secondary school mate?
Time flies so fast, we already knew each other coming close to 12 years already?
That's half my age! Gosh.
Sometimes I really pondered what have I done all these times.
Santa, please help me look young & pretty till I die. Hahaha!
---
I hope to do more photoshoots with him early next year as to
update my portfolio if he's more available.
