Bali Day 1

27/08/09
I had a bad day to start off with, my gastric gave me lotsa problem. I'm hungry all the time but I just threw out whatever I eat. I was feeling sick in the day but persisted on at work.
Boss was very sweet to get some chicken pie around 4pm for all in office.
After eating a bit of it (I skipped lunch), I felt so much better & ready to go to fetch Dar to head down to airport together.
---
We touched down around 9pm at Denpasar Airport.
Claudia reminded me to get a taxi from the airport service and it should be a flat rate so we won't get cheated by the locals. The driver kept stopping and ask around for the villa that we were heading. I was a little pissed off cos' I'm very tired by then & I really wanna shower & get some rest. If he doesn't know the location, he could have ask someone else to send us, right?

Checking in
Aston Bhavana Villa
Seminyak, Bali

I wasn't very impressed by the villa when we got there. It looked very different from the website. (Tho. I knew photos will definitely look much better.) Still, I was hesitant on my reaction. Dar knew immediately when I just walked around the whole place without saying a single word. I think he was actually thinking whether he should asked if I wanna check in another place. Anyways...
I was very excited & have been anticipating towards the trip cos' it's the 1st time I'm bringing Dar on a holiday. I'm not too sure Mr. B really liked the villa or he just doesn't want to disappoint me. I had a mixed feeling about the place. A night there costs me Sin 450bucks, which I could have easily gotten a 5star hotel. Then again, we had private swimming pool and personal chefs every morning. Why am I still complaining? Maybe it's the surroundings? I don't feel clean? Come on, it's Bali. I should accept the "natural" atmosphere, blah...

Walk-in wardrobe & bath tub filled with fresh flower petals...

Our beatifully decorated beds & interior or the room...

My feet was aching from my 4inches high wedge & I refused to walk another step. Dar was very patient & just ordered food from an Italian restuarant to be delivered to our villa to curb our hunger pangs. I really have to give it to him. I was throwing tanthrum all the time but he just take me as who I am & still handle all my nonsense well. We both led a busy life with stressful & demanding job (and many times I was at the verge of breaking down from tiredness). Yet, he can still tolerant me. I guess I'm lucky & thank God for him.

We had a couple of forms to filled up before we can call it a day.
We had to decide what we wanna have for breakfast the day before & what time for it to be served. We quickly unpack our baggages, shower & rest on the huge comfy bed afterwhich.
We were watching American Pie on cable TV till I passed out... ...
