Eric texted me on FB today to inform that our advertisement is out on Singtel's new website.
I was very excited cos' it's my 1st video commercial on a official site!
Click on the images to see more.

Do you agree that I kinda look like a cartoon character since my movements are so animated? For a second I thought the girl on the site isn't me.

Did I mention I'm a Singtel subscriber now?
They should give me some incentives on top of my talent fees right?

Marilyn's 24

211109
I can't remember the road name, it's somewhere near my house...

Me with the 寿星婆, Marilyn!

Her maid was a really great cook!
I love the home made curry puffs & dumplings.
Those was so yummy I helped myself with at least 2 servings...

Eunice bought Marilyn a toy which most of us were addicted to playing with it.
Beside the fun, we get to eat candies!

Everyone who came for her advance private birthday celebration...
---
Afterwhich we adjourned to Boiler Room where the ladies enjoyed live entertainment & also tequila shots. I had a nice dinner & relatively good time =)
It's just a shame I was feeling lazy to take photos....

I'm officially broke, soon.

Should I get 1 of my dream bags & also a matching wallet to it? All in classic designs? It's like going into a good 10 years investment (since the houses are always increasing the retail price yearly...) The earlier I buy the more I save anyhow. My sister and I are so excited & trying to decide what should we get each. We have to narrow down to bag size, leather type then the color. If yes, I'm going to use up my savings! I doubt I can keep my hands to only 1 label when I'm there. Holidays are bad... But, but but! I'll come back really happy!
I'm going to pack items like (which I don't have half of the list!):
  1. tranch coat
  2. windbreaker
  3. thermal jackets
  4. shirts
  5. turtle neck
  6. long sleeves
  7. knee high boots
  8. leggings
  9. heat packs
  10. passport
  11. Euro & Britain pound currencies
  12. etc...

I was wondering if these are enough to keep me warm? I'm flying in 3 weeks & I need to go get all the neccessities before that! I think I need to do more modelling gigs to support my spending!

What I (might) want for Christmas?

Just a thought, still.
---
High tea with the ladies...

@ a nice place to be seen...

Or a private cafe where they serve great tea & snacks...

I hate fashion catalogues...
Isn't the leather bag so tempting & beautiful?

I love everything bling bling
+ stars or star-shapes....

Pretty footwear & accessories to go with whatever I'm wearing for a chill out session?
Hmmmf... ...

No pain no gain?

Many ponder all the time if he/she really needs to go under the knife and needles + all the stress from public scrutiny. He/she already look extremely fabulous, what is it exactly that force one to take up the additional extravagant expenditure & torture? My exact sentiment? It had to be the media (that turn us into self critical bitch).

Don’t get me mistaken. I’m 100% with cosmetic & plastic surgeries. I don’t despise people (regardless of age & genders) around me with silicon breasts or Botox at every inches of their faces and necks or liposuction, whatsoever. I will probably try out Restylane fillers when I need them in the future. In fact, I admire their courage for going through painful procedures and tolerating high chances of public criticism. I love watching & staring at beautiful people. Nothing’s wrong with that right? Singaporeans are still not very open to accepting plastic girls and admitting to having jobs done. These technologies helped people who really needed the changes in order to get back to a normal life. Recall one of our local artistes had her nose broken while practising a stunt for charity show couple of years ago? If there wasn’t plastic surgery, her career will be heavily affected and who can she blame when all things went down? If someone needed the minor (or major) changes in their faces/bodies in order to boost self esteem & confidence in the long run and there’s no side effects on their private and public lives (of course, mentally & health, too), I see absolutely no problems with that. Just don’t become OD on procedures like Mr. MJ, the ever-lasting King of Pop. I think he’s a classic example everyone can relate to. Bear in mind we want to look good, not fake or scary.

I will not encourage people to wants to do changes on themselves cos’ they want to look like someone else, like an idol or celebrity. Please NEVER go through it for the sake of someone else but YOURSELF. Cosmetic surgeries are meant to enhance what you have & not changing your features totally. Why want to look like Angelina Jolie where there’s no 2nd Brad Pitt in the world? Beauty comes from within also, not 100% externally. You know why I think there are more & more people wanting to do surgeries? I think we have to point our fingers & blame on the beautiful women out there who has everything but never contented somehow. Many of them are already so gorgeous, yet they want to be perfect. Flawless figure, nicely arch eyebrows, full lips, high cheekbones and stretch mark-less thighs at age 40years, etc... For the less perfect “natural” ladies like us, we can’t help but wanting to improve & look better. If not, we will be considered nowhere near the “beautiful standard” although we are already a notch higher than average looking crowd? Question is do we all really want to look like Barbie? Or like giraffe with huge tits or stiff facial expressions that look permanently stagnant? Or worse, running the risks to be mistaken as transvestites when the surgery went wrong? It’s a love & hate thing, I can’t decide if I will finally give in to the hands of the experts eventually. All these times, I try not to even dream how wonderful I will look like if I resort to cosmetic surgeries. Just yet. Every procedures and jabs has a certain level of risks. I’m almost 0% risk taker when it comes to my face. I don’t want to hibernate at home or shun taking photographs when I’m old. Everyone wants to look young & fresh & camera ready. So how? I’m such a oxymoron!

Hitting middle age is already depressing for some, & now 40s is the new 30s. Do we really have to constantly fight against the natural flow of life? I guess the answer is yes. Though I’m only 25years old, I have been battling with looking “right” or “perfect” for half my life time. Going to nail salon regularly from the age of 13, visiting skin specialist monthly (till now) since 18, trying to maintain my long tresses and paying crazy money doing IPL for all the unwanted hairs, etc... We have our own set of beauty view & a list of must-dos in order to stay what is considered perfect. Once they become a habit, it does not bother me to wake up early on a weekend to go for my appointments.

So when is enough? I can’t say there is a clear line. Today I might be happy with how my natural nose looks next thing I might want it to have it more defined. So, I celebrate the invention of cosmetic/plastic surgeries. Least I know, when I’m old & can’t rely on counter products to help anti-age, I have something else to go to. My regional model booker did mention I should consider do something to my eye bags in order to look less tired & more refresh a few months ago. It will help in my casting & assignments. I kind of refused to acknowledge that comment subconsciously. Fashion loves youth and the next sweet young thing. That’s the cruelty of truth and why media is so powerful in influencing the upcoming trend. You think Europe will be successful in banning size 0 models? I think size 0 models will rule the run way totally. We all do what’s appropriate, just to blend in. End of day, let’s all be socially responsible. If I’m not born with a pretty face, I can always put in an extra effort to dress beautiful.

By my standards, as long as one looks clean, groomed and feel great good. They are on the right route to be perfect. We don’t need a full change under the needles to look wonderful. Sometimes, for example, selecting the right highlighter or contour powder can do magic for a slimmer face. Don’t be lazy and confined to everyday routine. Changing a little daily will make a hell lot of difference. Have fun researching & experimenting!

Striving for the Perfect Face

Leading doctors discuss trends and safety aspects of aesthetic treatments in Korea & Singapore.

One of Korea's leading maxillofacial surgeons,
Dr Moon Hyoung Jin, has transformed the faces of thousands of Koreans, including celebrities.

While waiting for the seminar to get started, we are served with buffet dinner & also hot beverages to fight the bitter cold rainy weather. I invited Jo to join me in the talk since we love to know as much as possible regarding beauty...

Dr. Low, medical director of The Sloane Clinic gave me a brief insight in how Restylane can help improve my face (if I really want to) since she diagnose that I don't have much to change at this point of time. From what she shared, I believe she don't ask patients to do extra jabs on their faces, unless really nessccesary.

I have no idea what fillers are besides commonly used drugs like Botox.
We were introduced to Restylane at the start of the presentation. It's a biodegrable chemical and somewhat help our skin to generate more collegen when inserted into our skin.

Liquid Restylane become jelly like susbtance when it's stable after injecting our skin,
thus giving the lift on saggy skins.

Dr. Moon gave us a idea how is cosmestic surgery like in Korean. It is true that there are surplus of comestic clinics in Korea. It's very normal & common for Koreans to enhance their faces/ bodies.

He has a sense of humour when he did the presentation.
It's not easy to attract open & interactive session of Singaporean &
I thought he did a great job in getting us warm up to a still "taboo" topic here.
I like his style because I think he makes his patients very comfortable with him.

Dr Low, on the other hand is a charismatic speaker & very confident in her speech. After listening to her 10min speech, I actually thought I seriously needed a consulatation with her.

Not many has the golden ration proportions.
Neither can we get away easily with aging with the polluted environment nor avoid eating unhealthy processed foods.
We will somehow have to get medical/ cosmetic help along the way...

We were split into groups to observe how Restylane are injected into real woman.
I saw the demostration done by Dr. Low.

An outlook of the clinic...

What the procedure needs...

I almost fainted at the sight of long needles. They looked really scary & painful! I don't think they hurt cos' the patient didn't even move or finch.

She was very calm & looked like she's sleeping/ enjoying the whole session!

After the injections,
Dr. Low massaged her face to help ease the pain & also create more blood circulation I think.

She bid goodbye to her wrinkles & welcome new high & fuller cheekbones.

I took a photo with Dr. Moon cos' I think he's very good looking.
Hahahhaha!
Actually I have something to share...
Below is a token from Dr. Moon to clear some air.
My nose line is lines with circles.
Top 2 lines shows the steep (angle) people usually want compared to what I have.
Bottom 2 lines shows a real nose VS a fake nose...

Many people accused me of having a fake nose. So, I went up to Dr. Moon infront of everyone who was at the senimar to ask him if he thinks my nose my fake. He immediately said NO, mine is real for sure & it's very pretty & unusual for Asian. I asked him how can we differentiate a real & nose job. He drew a simple illustration of me & I would like to share with all of you. Please spare me the harassement of commenting I have fake nose. Honestly, if I wanted to go under the knife, I would have done a boob job instead. I like mine to be a full C cup. LOL! Anyways, back to the conversation with Dr. Moon, he was saying that he could tell mine is real cos' there is a hump on my nose when he check my side profile. A well defined fake nose will have a smooth line, instead of a hump. Imagine snow skiing, the kind of angle... I hope we are clear now, stop calling me a fake beauty! I do have a little secret to share. I uses Shu Uemura highlighter to dust the centre of my nose to make it look more defined & protruding for cameras...
If that help for some of you to feel more balance...

Mr. Henri's stay in little-red-dot...

101109
Andy & I went to fetch Mr. Lurton from the airport.
It was my 1st time expecting a winery owner (a.k.a wine producer) &
I was told that Lurton family is very well known & reputable in Bordeaux.
My view? He's very friendly, down to earth & humble!

After dropping him in office for meeting with Dez,
we dropped him off at Marriot to check in to get a couple hours of rest.
We picked him up later for dinner after trading hours.
I can't finish any work actually...
Off the records,
Andy & I got lost on the way to Marriot. LOL...
How can Dez sent 2 road idiots to escort Henri?

The lunch was delicious, even better with Ch. Brane-Cantanac...
I felt guilty pigging away while Henri was bombarded with our endless Q&A.

Another round of gruelling interviews with writers...

Dessert was great with sorbets, green fairy (yummy & superb refreshing!)
& some had esspresso...

I realise that Henri was quite reserved in his answers and comments.
Sometimes, we had to go through lengths to get some clues on what we want to know.
Smart one.

taking a few minutes break here & there.
I almost died from 14 hours of standing on 4" stilettos...

I met an old friend while having tea with Henri @ hotel lobby before the event started.
In fact he was the one who spotted me from outdoor terracec cos my back was facing them.
If Eric didn't walk to me & tell me, I wouldn't have noticed them.
Anyways...
It just hit me again how time flies!
What have I been busy with? Really?

My very 1st trip to watch races live!!!

The racing horses will do a parade before the game starts...

Me working @ one of the booth...

It's a long day from 10am-6pm...
I walked around exploring the VIP box while waiting for time to pass.

Interior of Hibiscus room

Everyone was trying to get me to bet on something since we are there.
I randomly bought a ticket with 5bucks,
and I won 28bucks!!!
Thanks to Sir Rumble...
Beginner's luck?

Never try taking photos after letting down the hair after styling...
Messy right?
We were all feeling a little under dress as 90% of the ladies who went for the Gold Cup game dressed up from head to toe. Literally from head as they wore hats or put on some head gear. I totally love their dressing. Each of them was a eye candy. The whole image made me feel excited. Least I can still detect people who has fashion sense in the island...

Last picture before I bid the horses goodbye...
