Downtown East

I dreaded going to east side of SG.

1st: I'm not familiar with the roads.

2nd: It's super far end!!

3rd: I hate driving.

BUT....!

I was finally there ever since it was revamped.

1 simple reason killed all my No-Nos.
My brother came fetch me!

YEAH!

Acting as tourist!

I should, cos' I'll nv know when is my 2nd trip there!

We planned to have dinner & movies.
Also to rake the place where we will have our new year eve gathering.
Organisers always have soooooo much work to do.
Planning, budgeting, invitation, food, blah.
I still can't decide how am I going to split myself in 3 locations at the same time.
Hmmm....
Mum should have given birth to triplets!

Funny huh? It was already 11pm by the time they settled all the arrangement at KBOX.
We caught Bedtime Stories after grabbing subway for dinner.

Year 2008, a love & hate affair;
came & go with such a fast speed.
It was a life changing & memorable year.
A huge chapter in life.
I always asked myself what will I want to change if I can turn back time...
Still,
My logical part of the brain always overwrite the idea.
Without all the experiences/ encounters,
I won't be who I am.
We all make mistakes, or probably hurt someone or got hurt along the way.
I'm still learning...
I hope a brand new year will be smooth sailing for all,
let's pray we can go through 2009 with good health & success.

Liang Yi, Louis, Gavrill & Yuan Shuai weren't with us cos' they went home for holidays.

The rest of you har, better provide the organisers with some good reasons for not turning up!

Since it's X'mas, I'll forgive you for once.

Else I don't love you anymore...

Hee! We had new friends & tourists over with us for boxing day.

I think eating out is a great way to meet new friends & get to know them..

I just got news that friends from Shanghai are coming over on new year's day.

I'm so looking forward to meet them!

As usual, we have people who won't turn up on time...

The restuarant staff kept pushing us for the rest of the customers...

There were 16 of us, occupying like half the space on one of their level.

haha!

In any case, since we were hungry so we started ordering food once we settle down.

The rest will join us when they reach.

Joan & I were laughing at Clement's change of behaviour.

He got Natalie & Cindy's head on fire cos' he's always late for something.

But,

after the competition, he's always one of the 1st to show up & we don't remember him being late...

I can't remember how much we ate,

the food kept coming & the smoke/ steam irritates my eyes totally.

I've proven natural static,

my sisters won't sit beside me whenever we have steamboat.

*We are having steamboat for NY's eve!

Anyhow...

Back to the point, I asked for a recess.

Time to snap snap!

Everyone looked happy & satisfied after a huge feast.

I don't know how much stuff we throw inside our pot.

Somehow the bottom layer got "chao-dah"...
We are done by then.

Heng ah! Ha!

Tho we didn't managed to stick to the original plan,

most of us still came with something for gift exchange.

I got a tin of cookies from Zhenhuan.

Having some fresh air before we go up to play some games....

I assigned ZH to take photos cos' he's the tallest.

Somehow it's either he's missing or caleb's missing from the pic.

It was difficult to find something for 10.

So we chose simple games that everyone can participate.

UNO card & stacko are the easy choices.

Later on we realised the long tables wasn't convenient,

so we added Jenga in too.

Loser from the games have to do some punishments...

Like topless pumping, catwalk, hug a stranger & turn 3 rounds, write her name with her butt, etc...

Oh, I've videos....!

The most exciting game for the night was Heart Attack.
We got hurt by the silly game.
Punch in the eyes/ ears, scratches from fingernails,
bruises from trying to force his/her hands underneath the crowd, etc ....
Nevertheless, we are good.
Loud, noisy but FUN people!

X'mas Eve Celebrations

I woke up feeling a little giddy & too much acid in my stomach.

I can't back to zz once my brain starts working...

Mom kept talking, & gives me headache...

Still, despite the bad morning..

I had fun yesterday!

Brother made some ordering a month prior...
& prepared some more home cook food for the dinner.
We had a wide spread of food, so much so that we can't decide what to eat first.
There are probably just 15 of us eating but the food were enough to feed 50, i think...

Mommy kept nagging at us while we were eating that none of us should drive later on cos we had alcoholic drinks.

Gosh, like we don't know?!

Banker Fong is glad that we are in the mood to play some games with us before our mahjong session.

I'm not too sure if she felt the same after losing money to us.

Hahaha!

Carlyn is crazy to complain she's hungry after less than 2 hrs after dinner!

Anyways, since she has cravings for sweet stuff,

We decided to cut the cake...
Miss Lim got it from Hilton Hotel & I was shocked to hear the chestnut logcake costs 80bucks.

The mushroom soup that Zac brought from home cost much more than what you paid outside.

Looks like everyone is really looking into quality of food, & not quantity!

We had a special agreement this year, which is to prepare a unisex gift for exchange.
After desserts, we pick our lucky number & see who gets what...

I am lazy to dress up, yet it's boring to just play mahjong, again.

I joined boyfriend & his friends for drinks..
Not overly packed w clubbers, I thought it was good.

Place is nice & the people are fun!

Poison of the night were beer & whisky.
I already had red/white wine at home.
My stomach is so confuse...
I was soooo sleepy even before 3am,

Logcakes delivery!

How can Christmas go without a logcake at least?

Monday was a good day.

Doing what i love... nails, grooming...

Later on went to a few places to deliver logcakes yesterday evening.

Last stop is my nanny's place.

& the lovely baby girl is 16 months old Xuan.

Isn't she adorable?

She totally loves my hair band & was so happy when I placed it on her head.

Tuesday isn't quite a easy day.

Gastric's been bothering me since I woke up.

No matter how much I eat the pain still don't go away.

So irritating.

I guessed receiving some harsh news in the afternoon just worsen it.

It's Christmas, so I need to pick myself up & re-adjust my mood.

Staying positive & strong is the way to get things done.

午饭后，跟大哥一和女朋友同到ikea逛逛。

买了好多青色，红色和白色的蜡烛。。

准备在平安夜和家人和亲友一同享用晚餐时点缀客厅/饭厅。

哈哈！
往年平安夜我总是不在家。

我都不记得我和谁去了哪里。

我有失忆症！

People actually enjoy reading with the morning morning breeze & peace...

1st scene was just about Yun & I on the gym equipments,
nothing interesting.
I was more amazed over how much time difference it took the team to set up & pack up!

After lunch, almost ready to set off for location 2.

When we changed out from gym wear, Michelle told me I can be released.
I was shocked cos' I'm booked for full day shoot.
When still in shock, I was very happy actually.
In the end, she realised she made a mistake.
Too bad!

I've never noticed this part of the building cos' security pass is needed in the lift.
Can see Bugis area & also Hotel Intercontinental pool deck.

Yun spotted a boxer 1 level down.
Who on earth left it there?
A better question will be, why is it even there?

4. Onion rings/ chicken nuggest/ fishballs / samosa/ spring rolls
5. Fried rice/ bee hoon/ noodles
6. Pizza/ savoury pancakes
7. Fried Chicken wings/ drumlets
8. Club sandwich - bite size
9. Dessert- cakes, tarts (anything that won't need to be refrigerated)
10. Drinks (carbonated/ non carbonated) + ice
11. Paper plates/ cups, plastic utensils, black trash bags

*pls provide additional stuff like chill/tomato/mustard/pepper sauce if you are doing snacks!

I don't know why but it seemed like everyone is determined to wake me up early today.

8+ am Dad came to my room, don't know what he wants...

9+am some idiot from Lasalle wants me to phone survey..

10+am Qiqi called me but I didn't answer...

11+am Qi called again & ask me out for lunch.

Since I'm pretty sure I can't go back to nap,

I woke up, & got ready within 1/2 hr to meet her for makan...

Usually people don't notice things around the surroundings unless they concern you, isn't it?

Likewise, Paragon shopping centre meant designer stores, makan places & waxing to me.

I never took notice how kids-infant-friendly the building was till today.

5th level has lotsa kids stores & comfortable diaper changing rooms for mom.

Try taking a step back & observe what's around you next time you are out.

After lunch, we quickly took a short trip to the beauty stores to get what we needed before heading home.

Qiqi got her skincare products from Origins

while I head over the Shu Uemura for my "must-have" concealer.
Talk about impulse buying, I'm definitely the best example.

I saw this mika eye shadow palette that I can't resist getting.

So, this will be my x'mas present for myself this year.

I just love colors...

A little tip for people who likes makeup like me,

palette are good deals, forever!

Be it lip or eye shadows promotions,

cos' you'll never finish them with 1-2yrs...

Haha...

Ava has grown soooo much in 3 weeks!

She's now 2 months++ old weighing 5.4kg...

GOSH!

Godma can't carry her for more than 10min.

My arms ache!

But she's just sooo adorable!!!

Qiqi & I agreed on late lunch at 2pm...

We were starving by then & had 3 person share.

Heehee...

Little princess was hungry before we made our way home after a stroll..

So mommy had to feed her in the car.

See how contented she must have felt!

Looking at her funny expressions made my day.

She promised to love me no matter what...

There was this stupid female driver behind me while making our way out from dempsey hill.

I was travelling at 30km/hr cos the roads are narrow & I was sure of the route.

Most importantly I have a baby on board.

For some reasons she kept honking at me...

What the heck lah.

If she's impatient she should be driving aeroplane, instead of being on the road.

So damn rude!
So I purposely slow down my speed even more, like 20km/hr.

Ha!

She can continue (very likely) to curse & swear & feel miserable for the rest of the day.
Who cares?

I went over to Zielinski's with X'mas gift & I had presents in return.

Great minds think alike!
Qi gave me a silver bangle & a big bottle of hair conditioner.

& she's right, I definitely love them =)

I also have a packet of token from Ava's 1st mth.

Sweet & savoury treats with her photo on them.

They were so pretty that I can't bring myself to eat them.

I had a great time today...

Twilight

Those advertising images & screen name didn't catch my attention.

Till my guy friend told me is a romance story about a human & vampire.

I was instantly hooked!

So, there we were, catching a night movie after my 2 hrs of dance classes.

I had to rush down within 45min from east side to town.

I was starving after lesson, so I grab a italian bmt to go for dinner.

One of my all time fav. snack.

Mr Cheng asked me from the start of movie if I think Edward is handsome.

I find it a challenge to answer.
He had this expression that freaked me out when he stared intensely at you.

Probably it's his character call.

After watching him for 2hrs, I was mesmerised by him actually.

He's definitely gorgeous.
Isabella & Edward has pretty good on screen chemistry.

I enjoyed watching them doing conversations.

The story isn't fantastic.

Quite typical vampire plot,

& there'll be part 2 to it.

Cos Victoria isn't dead...?

It's not worth it to watch on a weekends.

Catch it on weekdays (cheaper).

Hahaha!

Personally, I'll rate only 3/5 stars.

At most.

Wedding bells 13-14 Dec 2008

Initially we only thought of making the brothers wear disposable undies

& get the to draw on each other's butt.

In the end, I decided to be more "visual".

Handmade bikinis!

I never felt so proud putting up those ugly aunty "collection" on parade!

I skipped Derrick's jazz class to do up 5 sets of them.

On the actual day, I realised I have forgotten to count the groom in!

Lucky we still have the disposable undies.

Unfortunately,

I didn't have my digital camera with me,

else I can show more exiciting photos...

*Thank you ah, brother, for misplacing it!

Later at church buffet, the videographer & camera man were telling us,
we have been very lenient with the pranks.
Next time the sisters gang has to bring own locks & chains at the very least!

The brothers are supposed to get it from us...

In the end, looks like the sisters gang also had a hard time.

Counting coins & dividing the ang-bao money...

Ben was so smart to duplicate the house keys without Pris knowing.

They barged into the house, lah.

Can u imagine we wear till so pretty.

Then play violent?

Pushing each other to stop them from getting into the house.

Aiyooooo!

Lucky for us, Grace was hiding in Pris's room.

She locked the door so we can still prevent Ben from entering.

Else, we get no ang-bao!!

Waking up at 6+am to get ready for the day is a torture man.

By noon time I feel like walking zombie.

Church wedding was beautiful...
Hearing Pris's heartfelt speech made me tear, too.

Our friendship lasted more than a decade...

It was unexpectedly touching!
