到处逛逛， 走进了书局。
看着一本本排的整整齐齐的书，仿佛看到了自己的回忆。
没打算买书，可是它们却一直呼唤着我的名。
阅读，是我的爱好也是一种兴趣。
总喜欢静静的躲在某个咖啡厅一边喝杯香浓的咖啡一边读书。
好的作者总会把角色和故事内容描述的很仔细，很精彩。
令我（眼）手不离书，对它爱不释手。
可惜我很少买书的习惯，除非我知道它将是一本好书。
但是，奇怪了。这次没考虑那么多。
我相信每一本书都应该是本好书，只要有人欣赏。
或许是缘分，它摆在我眼前，所以将计就计，带了它回家。
读看看吧，给它一个机会。

We arranged to meet 6pm at Esplanade Taxi stand to have dinner @ Gluttons Bay.

Sorry I was so late!!!

Had to run some last minute errands ( & lost my way, as usual...)

& also meet Von at taxi stand 1st.

Food wasn't fantastic but we were all satisfied.

We proceeded right to Clarke Quay after dinner.
Jiaxi's to support his friend for NUS pageant (prelimary round).

So we followed him & decided to stay put for drinks & live band.

I so regret that I didn't drop my car off 1st so I can't touch alchohol.

Active rabbit was jumping on the sofa most of the time, having fun.

Caleb & Grace never fails to do some public display of affection. Haha!

Rach & JF left earlier to have some personal time?

Clement, always the 1st to be drunk.

Gavrill was high i guess, had to do a toast with everyone.

Ys didn't spare him till the end, kept drinking.

It was always a joy to see familiar faces & spend some quality time together.

I'd Italian for dinner yesterday.

We celebrated Gary's belated birthday.

Qi decided on Sistina over White Rabbit at Dempsey.

but it was just too crowded.

Accompanied my gfs to run some errands, & i saw packets of dried flowers at Daiso.

I thought they might brighten up the room & leave tingling scent.

So, I took them out from the plastics & place nicely in baskets & glass holders.

When you bite the sinful looking stick,

Chinese + English = Chinglish

This is hilarious... ....

even an Englishman could not construct sentences using numeric,

which is exclusive only to Malaysians and Singaporeans.

Ah Lek was asked to make a sentence using 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.

Not only did he do it 1 to 10 he did it again from 10 back to 1.

This is what he came up with.....

1 day I go 2 climb a 3 outside a house to peep.

But the couple saw me, so I panic and 4 down. The man rushed out and wanted to 5 with me. I ran until I fell 6 and threw up.

So I go into 7 -eleven and grabbed some 8 to throw at him.

Then I took a 9 and try to stab at him. 10 God he run away.

10 I put the 9 back and pay for the 8 and left 7 -eleven.

Next day I called my boss and told him I was 6 .

He said 5 , tomorrow also no need to come back 4 work.

He also asked me to go climb a 3 and jump down.

I don't understand. I am so nice 2 him but I don't know what he 1 .

The Stage is Set

The eyes of the world turns to China's National Stadium for the Opening Ceremony of 2008 Olympics Games.
The stadim bird's nest -inspired design represents a haven of goodwill and sportsmanship.

This back cover of X magazine was at my table for weeks (or maybe months) but I didn't took a serious look at it.

After watching the opening of olympics games I then realised it was the exact same picture that I saw on TV!

It was a real eye opener & amazing entertainment put up by the Chinese.

The grand fireworks took my breathe away.

Images depicts of footsteps that "walk" along the walls of Beijing, lighting up the whole city.

I couldn't fix my eyes anywhere else but the black box infront of me.

Even when I needed to take a leak, I'll think twice.

The teams of various themed dancers showed a great deal of flexibility and fluid lines which were something I'm yet able to do it myself.

The performances was spectacular & well coordinated that I couldn't stop singing praises.

When I think of China, the 1st thing that came through my mind is the no. of people that the country has.

Every magnificent and almost theatrical was put up by human instead of just lightings & graphics.

The drums number, 3D effects and parade were just too dazzling.

2nd thoughts of China will be their 4 BIG inventions.

Please don't tell me you don't know what they are, if so, the more you should see for yaself.

Their big 4s were well capture & demonstrated throughout the opening ceremony beside the short clip.

The centre stage was literally a painting and it transform itself accordingly.

Last but not least, the 3rd impression and my favourite of all time.

Chinese instruments & martial arts.

Guzheng, something I've attempt for a few years, along with others.

The complete act was both pleasant to the eyes & ears.

As a fashion student, I was in awe with the bright-coloured & beautiful garments that they wore.

I seriously urge those of you who have yet to see the splendid opening items to do so now.

I was so touched and at the verge of crying when after catching the astonishing show.

Just for the 1st hour and the 3rd hour (closing ceremony).

I promise you won't regret.

I AM proud cos' I'm a Chinese TOO.

Congratulations to China, who has won 11 gold, 3 silver & 4 bronze medals to date.

I was estatic (and almost jumped off my bed) when Bryan Tay came in first for one of the preliminary rounds.

Team Singapore, all the best!

Let me introduce Yoyo.

A new tenant for last week.

4 yrs old silky terrier & really active.

This picture doesn't do her any justice cos' she had all her fur shaved before coming in.

Mommy's away for holidays so she's staying with us.

She jumps around all the time & love to cuddle with me on the sofa.

She's really lovely, except when she poo & pee everywhere at home.

When she does, she'll start hiding when she sees us.

She actually felt guilty!

I'd to clean & mop the floors a thousand times cos' it sinks!

Still, I don't hate her.

I'll walk her in the evenings & hang around the swimming pool at times.

Good thing is that she listens, so I don't need a leash.

She loves playing with basketballs,

& we taught her how to burst balloons.

It was really fun having her around!

We started to realise Yoyo loves vegetables while preparing dinner.

She'll literally swallow the veggies we gave her,

in seconds!

And this is one of her favourite.

She left 3 days ago, & i almost cried.

Yes the house is much cleaner. Yet....

Whenever I walk around the house,

I was expecting Yoyo to be following behind.

Or while eating my meals,

she should be somewhere beside me waiting for food.

Sigh...

I miss her.

With all the hype & write ups on jeans recently,

I've decided to share some pointers to my readers.

Most of us live in jeans, so we tried hundreds of pairs to solve our fit problems.
Common expectations:

1. Slim my thighs
2. Don't give me a flat butt
3. Shrink my hips & butt
4. Don't gape at the waist
5. Don't pinch my waist
6. Don't look like everyone else's
7. Work for night
8. Not long enough/ too long.

Each time i find a pair. or two that fits & accentures my figure,

it doesn't work after a few months. Either I've gain/lost weight,

wear & tear or material shrinks/expand.

It's just so irritating especially when i paid a bomb for the pair.

In our humid weather here, I chooses not to wear full denim bottoms

with the exception of mini skirts most of the time.

It's just not comfortable when my legs can't breathe!

I still love wearing jeans cos' its just so convenient.

I can match almost anything with jeans, with so,

I can dress up or dress down anytime I want!

I have yet, still, to be able to locate a pair that I can't live without.

I'm really would like to have a pair that can last in my wardrobe for years.

Levi's has came out with a 100% cotton pair,

but review says it's more suitable for skinny girls.

So, are there any other brands that I can try

& yet at the same time, affordable & stylish?

How to care for ya denim:

1. Wash inside out in cold water to maintain color
2. Do no scrub jeans with brush
3. If jeans contains stretch, avoid putting them in dryer
4. Air dry jeans inside out, avoid direct sunlight
5. Rub stains gently with alchohol before usual wash
6. Never! ever bleach ya jeans
7. When storing jeans, it's preferable to keep them folded

Fact or Myth:

• Never wash ya jeans at the 1st 6 months cos' it'll then fit to ya body shape?

There are three types of tears produced by our eyes which are classified as basal, reflex and emotional (psychogenic) tears .

Basal tears, which are the primary tear, help keep the eye surface nice and moist. The chemical components of this tear class allow it to form an adherent, thin film over the eye to provide general protection and moisture.

Sometimes we may get things like dust or a pellet from a Red Ryder BB gun in the eye. We all make mistakes. Such irritants will induce the response of reflex tears. Reflex tears hold similarity to basal tears, but are distinct in having chemical components that more readily allow elimination of particles and irritants (like dust or onion vapors) and microorganisms.

The final class of tears, and the ones that produce many scientific questions, are emotional tears. Some studies and scientists indicate this class of tear, within humans, are different within males and females and also may have a distinct evolutionary origin and physiological purpose.

Women tend to have higher prolactin levels, nearly double, than that of men and this may be why women cry a bit more easily when under stress.

Research shows that suppressing emotional tears may contribute to conditions such as hypertension and heart disease.
